Leave me a scenario (one of your own or choose from here) and include any particular preferences as well if you wish.
Or, if you want to just leave a comment with a picture or a word as a prompt and suggest which muse of mine you want, that works too! I might just be a bit slow with those.
Make a reply asking for anyone here on the subject title.
If you choose a character on the maybe list, I will definitely be slow with them.
If you know a specific "verse" of character you want, specify. If it's a cross-canon scene and you don't specify, you might get a CR AU.
Alternately, if you'd rather place a comment on the muse's contact post. Or if you want to do something a little more privately, let me know and I'll set something up elsewhere.
Go to the RNG if you don't have a specific scenario in mind.
"We were heading out of the country, actually," Malina says with a nod as Kali finishes up that last spider. "Kali and I work for an international aide organization. Once we're finished up here, we're heading back to HQ."
There's a beat as she considers her for a moment, before tipping her head to the side. "You know, if you want to get out of the outback, we could always use magical skills like yours."
"Nice to meet you, Kali," Hawke offers, watching Kali take out the spider in increasingly impressive ways. "Both of you." Just in case the other was feeling left out.
That's an interesting proposition. Hawke considers. She wouldn't mind living among actual people, but if she has to deal with electricity and all that craziness...
"Which one of you gets to teach me all about electricity?" she asks. "It's a little too shocking for my tastes."
Malina laughs a bit at that, before nodding her agreement. "We can explain it to you on the plane." Oh, is she going to have to explain planes too? They can save that for the drive back to the airfield. It's probably going to be a much longer conversation than electricity.
Without missing a beat, Hawke shrugs. "That depends. Is 'plane' the new term for a shape-shifted dragon?" Yes, she's actually serious about that. Everything needs an explanation for Hawke. Except cars. She managed to see those in the city and she still doesn't know how she feels about them.
"Not exactly, no. A plane is a bit like a car, but it flies instead of drives. It's very safe. Plus, it's private so you're not crowded by a whole ton of people."
It's not as though they're flying coach or she probably wouldn't have recommended it.
Kali bounces over, straightening her bangs and wiping spider blood and goo on her shorts. Her pony tail swishes back and forth cheerfully, matching the friendly grin splashed across her expression.
"That was fun. I feel very relaxed now." A beat. "And you're far more likely to die from a venomous bite or a legal execution than die in a plane crash. They're incredibly rare."
"Your own private dragon flight," Hawke muses, aware that her host has just said that a plane isn't a dragon. She shrugs. "On the plus side, if it goes down, we're all going down together. Though, I'll take my chances with the professional spider-murderer."
She flashes Kali a smirk. Kali is her new favorite for killing spiders for her.
"All right. I'm in." For once, Hawke will do the following rather than the leading.
"Excellent," Malina says with a grin. "Let's get the hell out of here. I've already spent way too much time in the desert." She is ready to go home and clean the spider guts out of her hair. It's said how that phrase comes to mind all too easily.
"Why would you complain?" She's going to lean over to snap a picture of her and Malina and their matching spider guts. Gonna put it on instagram. #AUSTRALIA
"I have to agree with Kali on that one." Kali, that picture better not wind up on the Knights Instagram. "Indoor plumbing trumps pretty much everything else. In fact, my best friend is a giant hippie, and he'd still agree with me about indoor plumbing."
She'd hope. If he doesn't, Gus, she's disowning you.
Hawke's eyebrows rise. "That certainly was illuminating," she quips. "I won't argue about the indoor plumbing, but when you come from a place where the only light comes from torches or a lightning-based spell, you tend to be a little wary of the way some things work."
Last time someone changed something, a chantry blew up and killed countless innocent people in the name of vengeance. Before that, Tevinter magisters blackened something that wasn't theirs, created the darkspawn, and gave them the Blights. Forgive her if she isn't 100% sold on everything yet.
"Or whoever put this into place could be hiding mages. Anything is possible."
Hawke might not remember all of her life, but she does remember the truly terrible pieces. Her life is not pretty so she doesn't expect this to be pretty, either.
Something in the way she says it has Hawke's eyes narrowing slightly. Suspiciously almost. "Is that so the general population will hate them more or because they really don't like being locked up and can't be contained?"
At least she... isn't mentioning Tranquil yet? Really she just wants to know what she's in for. How many people are going to fear her just for what she is? And is she in any actual danger of being locked up in a place like a Circle or the Kirkwall Gallows?
The first person who tells her there's someone like Knight-Commander Meredith here is getting a fireball to the face.
Malina snorts. "Sweetie, if they tried to lock me up I would have set them on fire." And that's putting it lightly. "I'm no one's prisoner. People aren't exactly happy that we exist, but we've learned to live with it."
She shakes her head. "I have never heard of either of those things. And naturally, we want people to be safe with their magic, but we're more of a learn and grow situation than restrict and restrain."
"You know, I think I'm gonna like it here." Sounds better than being branded an apostate and hunted all your life. Or living in the Gallows. Or being turned Tranquil. "All right, fearless leader, lead on, but if your machinery starts biting, I want off."

Maker preserve them all. Someone get her to stop.

Someone should really stop her someday.
"Lead on, oh fearless ones. I need to see how much complaining about modern technology I get to do on the way over." The answer is a lot.

Or patient and healing in the terms of the clerics.

Just checking. Because that is a pretty important distinction to make. She gets that the rules are different here but really she has to make sure.
