"Yes," Beverly agrees slowly. "That's it exactly." His perception amazes her immediately. Somehow he seems to have gotten to the heart of the problem before she even did.

"My Nana does that, too." Thinking about Nana always brings a smile to her face. Nana was her inspiration, the person who encouraged her and supported her, whose own works and life were the reason Beverly began her career. "She inspired me after the Arvada III disaster. Now she's a healer on Caldos and I'm studying to become a doctor."

She hopes she will be half the doctor that Nana is.
