Beverly is very honestly surprised at his delight. She hadn't expected a lecturer to want to talk to a student, but now that he has said as much, she doesn't want to let him go. Instead, she motions almost frantically at one of the empty chairs.

"I know you must be busy, but you're welcome to stay if you want to rest your feet. Standing all day isn't good for them." So says the budding doctor.

She smiles, obviously agreeing with that small bit of philosophy. "My name is Beverly Howard. It really is a pleasure to meet you, sir. I'm very much looking forward to your lecture. I was hoping that attending would broaden my horizons and my knowledge of the subject."
