He's honestly surprised when the device seems to be...doing exactly what he wanted it to do. His hand isn't quite as steady as he'd prefer, but his aim is true. There's immediate relief when he hears Beverly's voice, and he instantly takes his finger off the little button so it will stop firing. He's terrified he'll hurt her even more, so he sets it aside, gently cradling the upper half of her body.

"I'm here," Robin is quick to assure her. "You've been badly injured, I'm not...quite sure the extent of the damage, but...I'll take care of you. I promise." He'll do absolutely anything to make her better, after everything she's already done for his boy. Just to soothe her for a brief moment, his fingers stroke across her forehead.

"I want to move you a bit, get you more comfortable. I'm...not sure if it's safe. Can you feel much in your legs?"
