Robin barely has time to react before everything above their heads begins to collapse. His first instinct is to protect his son, and then half a second later, he glances at Beverly, wanting to help her if he can. But then she pushes him before his brain can fully catch up, and he stumbles back, clear of the collapse. Roland groggily lifts his head, rousing a bit and looking worried before flopping his head back down, too tired to react much. It's just as well, because Beverly is in the most danger at the moment.

Setting Roland down gently where he can lay comfortably, Robin moves back to Beverly, his heart pounding in fear. The worry over his son hasn't completely abated, and now the woman who's already done so much to help them is possibly dying in front of him.

Because she saved him, and saved his son again. He'll do whatever he can to help her, and he just desperately hopes that she's still with him, still holding on. He can hear voices from the other side, assumes they're just as scared for Beverly, but he doesn't realize they've actually gone. Gently, he moves to cradle Beverly's head in his lap, lightly patting her cheek and then squeezing her shoulder, trying to rouse her. But he doesn't want to hurt her, not knowing how badly she's injured.

"Beverly - Beverly, come on, wake up," he urges, his voice right by her ear. He's not expecting anything, not with that head injury. "You'll be all right, I swear it," he whispers. He just has to move the rocks somehow. Tearing off part of his tunic, he wraps her head a bit, trying to stem the bleeding from her head wound before he shifts. He remembers she had a weapon of some sort, a device, and he pushes at some rocks to try and find it. He has no idea if it will work on these rocks, but he has to try. There's a fear he might injure her further, but the longer these rocks are on her, the worse off she'll be. He finally spots the device on her hip, points it at the rocks, and just presses a few buttons, hoping something works.
